Weekend Recap: Fantastic Food & Family Time

B and I were both off this weekend, so we made sure to pack it with all the things we never usually get to do – Saturday morning snuggles, family time, and of course, lots of great homemade food!  (Alright, true, even when we work during the weekends homemade food is a priority, but you get the picture. 😛 )

My body never lets me sleep in, so Saturday morning I got up early and let B and GG sleep so that I could clean the house and make my family some breakfast in bed.  After breakfast, I snuck in some extra family snuggles!

Saturday was game night for my side of the family, and we can all get pretty competitive.  On the calendar was some Wii bowling, Catchphrase, and of course, Cards Against Humanity.

If you don't know what "swooping" is, you should Google it. :)

Sunday we did a killer cardio-based CrossFit workout, and hosted B’s parents for a family lunch!  B has been working on his cooking over the last couple of years and we were both so excited to show his parents how far he has come!  He seriously killed it with my favorite “Loaded” Cauliflower Soup, Asian Glazed Salmon, and Shrimp with Roasted Tomato Salsa!  I am so incredibly proud of him, and very lucky to get to reap the benefits of all of his hard work!  I think his parents also were impressed, because we got a message last night that they were fighting over the leftovers!

Seriously, can we talk about how good this all looked??!

And, the weekend ended as perfectly as it started – Sunday night snuggles on the couch for the Grammy’s!

My little buddy.

My little Love.

How was your weekend?
