Thanksgiving Weekend Recap

I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend!!  Mine was filled with date nights, snuggling, and not nearly as much exercise as I would have liked, but sometimes having downtime is just more important.  Here is a recap of my weekend in photos – I hope you enjoy!

IMG_2618Thanksgiving morning started with my Fast Fifty Fall Workout at home – I forgot what a killer it is!  I also took this an opportunity to break out the new holiday socks!

IMG_2642 (1)My husband and I are very into shoes, so we you know we had to have something fun for Thanksgiving dinner with my family!

IMG_2626After dinner we braved the crowds for some Thanksgiving/Black Friday shopping at Kohl’s!  We needed to stock up on some nice clothes for B for Paris, and after waiting on line for over 2 hours I’d say that we got quite the deal!

IMG_2650After a quick CrossFit workout up North, Friday was spent snuggling this little monster.  I swear, I’m just giving her face rubs, which – as you can tell from her expression – she loves!

IMG_2628Friday evening we headed into New York City for a much needed date night!  We randomly stopped at this amazing sushi restaurant that was running “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” hot sake for Happy Hour and had to indulge!  It was the perfect way to warm up from the cold and get a pre-show snack.

IMG_2631Knowing I absolutely love Bianca Del Rio, B surprised me with tickets to her sold out show!

IMG_2641Saturday evening we took a local Wine and Cheese Pairing Class, which was an early holiday gift from my sister.  I learned so much and enjoyed some pretty fabulous cheese!

IMG_2653After the class we went to my parents’ house so that B could cook a dinner for everyone – my parents, my sister and her boyfriend, and me!  Those are B’s famous Thai Coconut Mussels (seriously, they are to die for), and I chipped in by making my Miso Glazed Salmon!

IMG_2646Sunday was a lazy day spent organizing the house and getting ready for decorating for the holidays.  The only way I could convince B to get a tree that first year we were together was to promise him it would be a black Christmas tree filled with holiday ornaments.  Although not strictly a Halloween tree anymore, I do like to think we have one of the more unique trees out there!

IMG_2649The finished product!  After setting up our tree, the three of us snuggled in for some family time and watched March of the Penguins while B wrote an article.  We were all pretty exhausted from the weekend, and it was nice just to spend time with my two favorites and enjoy the lights.

What did you do this Thanksgiving weekend?

xoxo – SavvySleever
