I received the opportunity to review Gigabody through my ambassadorship with Fit Approach. I received two complimentary months of membership to review. Nevertheless, the thoughts and opinions expressed are genuine and all my own.As a busy wife, attorney, and mother of an adorable goldendoodle puppy, I’m always looking to maximize my time, whether that’s washing dishes while catching up on my favorite TV shows or getting in a quick workout on my lunch hour. Also, like lots of people, I get bored easily with workouts. I have found the only way to stay consistent, and therefore see results, is for me to make sure to keep my workouts varied. I think that is one of the biggest drawbacks for me about joining some of my local workout establishments; you are locked into one type of workout.
What I really want – and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone here – is an entire library of exercise videos ready at my fingertips, organized impeccably, so that I can quickly and easily choose a video at any time to fit my needs. That way, when I feel like a yoga session on Monday at 9 pm after finally getting home from work, or a quick high intensity workout during lunch, I’m all set.
Recently, I was offered the opportunity to try out Gigabody, a new online workout library, and I can honestly say that it fits the bill – and I have some pretty high standards. (If you follow me on Twitter, you know that it has helped me log some extra workouts over the last few weeks!) My favorite thing about Gigabody is the selection of videos available on demand! Do you want to try your first barre class (like me)? They have you covered. Looking for a more strength based workout? No problem. And, if you want to dance around and burn off those exercise calories, they have just what you’re looking for. And, you get all of this for only $8.99 a month, much less than your average gym membership!
In fact, they organize their site not only by workout style – cardio, strength and sculpt, yoga, kickbox and box, dance and barre, flexibility, and abs – but also collection type, featuring categories such as time-saving workouts, no equipment workouts, and ass kicking workouts. You can also take advantage of their training plans, which takes all the guess work out of designing your own! (I’m starting the 4 week fat burning training plan this week.)Another great feature is their preview option. How many times have you started a workout video only to be seriously disappointed 15 minutes in, feeling like you’re wasting your time but are now invested so you have to ride it out? Well, not here. Not only is there an excellent description of the video, and honest and helpful reviews by viewers, there is also the preview option which allows you to take a few minutes and see what you’re going to get before pushing play.
Plus, lets face it, sometimes it is just way too much effort to get dressed, go out in the cold (hello, Winter), and drive 20 minutes to the gym. When all is said and done, a simple workout becomes a 2 hour ordeal. With Gigabody, you can cut that time in half (or even in quarters or eighths – yep, they have 15 minute workouts)! I may have even skipped the getting dressed part and worked out in my pajamas – hey, no judging. And, you can even cue up the videos on your cell phone and take your workout on the go!Now, here’s the best part. Not only did I get to try out Gigabody, but I also have one month free to give away to one lucky reader! Just enter the contest below, and I’ll be picking a winner on January 26, 2015. Good luck!
